Workshop in Musculoskeletal Stress Markers (MSM): limitations and achievements in the reconstruction of past activity patterns
Dear colleague,
On behalf of the Research Centre for Anthropology and Health we would like to invite you to participate in the Workshop in Musculoskeletal Stress Markers (MSM): limitations and achievements in reconstruction of past activity patterns to be held in Coimbra, Portugal, July 2-3, 2009.
Within the framework of MSM studies, this Workshop aims to contribute to the overall discussion of the effectiveness of enthesopathies as well as the underlying methodologies and terminology.
The Workshop is organized in the following sessions: methodologies, application of MSM on identified skeletal collections and on archaeological populations and other contributes to MSM developments. Each session will start with a keynote lecture.
The Workshop will conclude with a plenary discussion session to exchange perspectives on MSM approach, namely their reliability, and to promote new research avenues.
